About Jinko Solar
Jinko Solar is a Tier 1 Chinese solar manufacturer that founded their operations in 2006.
While the company originally started out producing silicon wafers, today: Jinko Solar is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of PV solar panels and one of the most prominent brands on the Australian market.
Listed on the NYSE under the ticker JKS, Jinko has now delivered over 390 GW of solar modules globally – making it the first manufacturer to reach that mark. In 2025 alone Jinko shipped 86.81 GW of modules – more than any other solar manufacturer in the world for the seventh straight year.
While the majority of manufacturing happens through their three Chinese plants (Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Xinjiang), Jinko also has manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, Vietnam, and the United States.

Jinko solar panels range overview (Updated for 2026)
We take a look at a range of Jinko solar panel models that are available in Australia.
Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0
The Tiger Neo 3.0 is Jinko’s flagship residential solar panel for 2026. Utilising N-Type TOPCon technology, The Tiger Neo 3.0 features a new optimised cell layout that produces more power per panel than any previous Jinko residential solar panel.
The Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 features one of the best temperature coefficient ratings on the market (-0.26°C) which makes it ideal for Australia’s warm climate. Add to that the dual glass construction and resistance to salt and, it’s not hard to see why the Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 is one of the most popular models amongst all brands in Australia.

| Efficiency: | 24.27% |

| Performance warranty: | 30 Years |
Suitable for: The Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 is ideal for those residential customers who are willing to spend a bit more upfront to get future-proof tech, greater efficiency, and strong warranty and after sales service.
Jinko Tiger NEO Series
The Tiger NEO Series launched back in 2021 (later refreshed in 2023) and sits below the Tiger Neo 3.0 in terms of both cost and features. The biggest concession that buyers make between the Tiger NEO Series and the Tiger Neo 3.0 is in peak efficiency. Whilst the Tiger Neo 3.0 reaches 24.27%, the Tiger NEO tops out at 22.6%.
Stepping out from the shadow of the flagship Tiger Neo 3.0, the Tiger NEO modules are still incredibly capable products in their own right. The Tiger NEO range shares the same N-Type DNA as its big brother and includes a strong 30-year power warranty. Despite scoring slightly lower than the Neo 3.0, the Tiger NEO still fares very well against industry standards.

Tiger Jinko Pro Series
The Tiger Pro Series predates both the NEO and NEO 3.0 ranges from Jinko. Once the flagship of the Jinko residential range, today, the Pro Series sits below the NEO in both performance and price. Despite being slightly older, the Pro Series is still a worthy part of Jinko’s range and has recently become a favourite amongst cost-conscious commercial customers where cost-per-panel is a bigger consideration than peak efficiency.

Why we like Jinko
There are several reasons why Jinko panels are a good option in Australia, these include:
- Sensible range
- Proven tech stays available
- Premium tech at every price point
- Strong local support
- Scale = reliability
Sensible range
Jinko’s range offers plenty of options without being overwhelming. Too many solar panel companies try to be all things to all people. We like that Jinko limits choice and provides solid products at different price points.
Proven tech stays available
Similar to the Tesla Powerwall range, when Jinko comes out with new technology they don’t automatically discontinue the superseded technology. Instead, they're gradually phased down as newer series take the flagship position.
Premium tech at every price point
The original Tiger NEO series – which has shipped over 200GW globally and remains the best-selling module series in history – now sits alongside the newer Tiger Neo 3.0 as Jinko's latest generation. For buyers, this approach means more products at different price points, continued availability and production of proven technology, and easy access to parts and after sales support when needed.
Strong local support
Jinko Solar ranks well amongst Aussie consumers for strong after sales support. Support goes directly through Jinko – not the installer – which makes for a simple, streamlined warranty process and reduces finger pointing.
Scale = reliability
It’s hard to argue against the reliability of the world’s largest manufacturer. The sheer scale and availability of Jinko Solar products mean peace of mind for consumers and guarantees warranty – should it ever be required.
What to keep in mind when buying Jinko
It's also worth considering reasons why you might consider other brands over Jinko, including:
- Not the cheapest
- Warranty is product specific
Not the cheapest
Jinko are not the cheapest solar panels on the market. Jinko Solar was one of the first Chinese companies to gain a foothold in the Australian market at a time when Chinese solar panels were met with skepticism. While initial pricing was aggressive to overcome this scepticism, this has since changed as Jinko can now lean into their position as the largest manufacturer globally and rely less on pricing.
Warranty is product specific
This isn’t unusual, but it’s worth knowing the warranty terms specific to the product that you purchase. Across Jinko's range, coverage varies considerably – from 12 years on the Tiger Pro Series through to 25 years on the NEO and Neo 3.0. Power warranties follow the same pattern, ranging from 25 to 30 years depending on the model.
